Do you offer babysitting? 

No. Please note that babysitting is not offered at any of the LOVESTRONG Retreats. Therefore, please ensure that you secure a babysitter for the weekend you attend. The good news is that you can go home each evening after the daily activities are completed. 

Are we allowed to miss one day of the Retreat? 

No. Please select a Retreat weekend where both of you can attend the entire weekend. To experience the full benefits of the LOVESTRONG Marriage Retreat, it is important that you participate in all of the activities. There are multiple Retreats offered at different parishes in the Spring and Fall, so please select the Retreat weekend that is right for you. Please note that if a schedule conflict arises, you can switch to a different Retreat weekend, assuming there is space availability. 

Can we get a refund if an emergency arises and we cannot attend the Retreat? 

Yes, of course. Please contact the Retreat Lead Couple as soon as you are aware of the conflict.

Do we have to be Catholic to participate? 

No. LOVESTRONG welcomes any married couples regardless of their religious denomination.   

Do we have to be married? 

Yes. All couples must be married men and women.  Couples are NOT required to be married in the Catholic Church, however, all couples must be legally married and desire to strengthen their relationship as a Christian Marriage, growing closer to each other and to God.

Are LOVESTRONG Retreats appropriate for couples whose marriage is in crisis?

LOVESTRONG is designed to meet couples where they are on their marital journey.  We have witnessed many miracles happen on LOVESTRONG Retreats in participating couples’ marriages. The only requirement is that both the husband and the wife must participate together and have open hearts and minds to grow together.  

What if we have a special dietary need? 

When submitting your electronic registration form for the Retreat, you will be prompted to provide any special dietary restrictions. Further, please ensure you remind us at the beginning of the Retreat as our kitchen service may need particular guidance to cater to your specific needs. 

What if we cannot afford the full payment for the Retreat? 

Although our Retreats are affordable, we understand that financial constraints are possible. Thus, we offer scholarships to couples in need on a case by case basis. Please reach out to the Retreat Lead Couple for additional assistance.  We will do everything possible to remove the cost issue as a barrier to attendance. 

How can we continue to be part of the LOVESTRONG Marriage Ministry after the Retreat? 

LOVESTRONG Marriage Retreats are growing rapidly.  As we grow, we will always need help from couples just like you.  You will have the opportunity to serve on a future Retreat team. The first step, however, is to attend as a participant couple. At the end of the Retreat, please inform the Lead or Co-Lead couple of your interest in serving as part of the team.
